University of Manchester to host FinTech North conference in April at iconic Whitworth Hall

FinTech North’s second annual Manchester conference will once again be hosted by University of Manchester on 17th April, expecting to attract around 300 delegates to the iconic Whitworth Hall for a full day conference featuring a line-up of national and regional FinTech experts and innovators.

Attendees at FinTech North will be drawn from the financial services and technology sectors in the region, including banks, building societies, insurers, other financial product and service providers, technology companies, software developers, FinTech entrepreneurs, investors, academics, students and the advisory community.

Further keynote speakers are still to be announced and the conference will also feature a showcase of Manchester-based FinTech businesses who will pitch their story to the audience. Throughout the event there will be networking opportunities, including breakfast, lunch and a drinks reception to close the event.

Professor Gerard Hodgkinson, Vice-Dean for Research, will chair a panel session which will focus on skills, innovation and the collaboration opportunities between business and higher education.

Professor Andrew James, the University of Manchester’s academic lead for FinTech and Associate Dean for Business Engagement & External Relations, says:
