Opportunity to take part in UK FinTech Delegation to Vietnam

FinTech North has been receiving an influx of international engagement opportunities of late, which aligns with one of our new strategic focuses in 2024; to deliver and support more international Fintech trade missions in Northern cities and to identify opportunities for Northern FinTechs to provide services to overseas markets.
We’re therefore delighted to share another exciting international opportunity for the FinTech companies in our community.
From the 4th of March of the 8th of March 2024, the Department for Business and Trade are leading a delegation of UK FinTech companies to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. During the visit, delegates will gain insights into Vietnams rapidly expanding tech and FinTech landscape and explore business opportunities through meetings with key stakeholders, including Vietnam’s largest local banks, Tech conglomerates and FinTech innovators.
During this five-day programme, delegates will visit Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnams business and trade hub, and Hanoi, the seat of central government. Delegates will engage through various key events, such as:
- Site visits and workshops with Vietnam’s largest technology conglomerates
- Individual presentations and workshops with Vietnams largest banks
- Participation in various elements of 2024 UK Southeast Asia Tech Week, including
- Delegation exhibit stand at Tech conference
- Sessions on AI, Cyber security and online safety
- VC roundtable and panel discussion
- Networking sessions
- Engagements with DBT Vietnam and the wider Embassy and Consulate-General team

The deadline for registration is on the 29th of January 2024. Delegates will cover travel costs (UK-Vietnam & domestic flight, accommodation, and meals. No additional participation fees or entry passes are required.
