Lean Lunch to power up FinTech North 2018
Jake Fox / 11th April 2018
Launching in Leeds last year, Lean Lunch was founded on the premise that we feel better at work, and perform better, when we eat better. It provides the antidote to stodgy corporate meals and buffets. And has now been chosen to provide a delicious, energy-boosting lunch for more than 300 delegates at FinTech North 2018 in Leeds on 26th April.
An upward trend
It’s the latest in a series of high-profile catering commissions for Lean Lunch. Companies such as Burberry and Sky Bet are turning to them to provide employees, clients and guests with healthy meals more in tune with the times.
Banishing bland buffets
At FinTech North, delegates will be able to choose individual Lean Lunch meals – nothing like the beige buffet of pasta, pizza and pastry often on offer at conferences. The emphasis is on freshly made, feel-good food packed with natural ingredients, nutrition and taste. It’s lunch designed to keep your energy up and mind on top form.
Lean Lunch meals packing a punch on the menu at FinTech North include ‘Aloo there chicken tikka’, ‘Magnificent miso salmon’ and ‘Bring on the halloumi, carrot and courgette cakes’. For dessert it’s a refreshing fruit pot or homemade granola with a dollop of gorgeous Greek yogurt and honey.
Fuel for world beaters
This is the third year of the growing FinTech North conference, held at AQL as part of the Leeds Digital Festival. Lunch is sponsored by DAC Beachcroft – an example of the kind of global powerhouse the event attracts.
Julian Wells, director of FinTech North, says: “Business people today are far more conscious of how they eat and the effect their diet has on their day. We want to provide a lunchtime feast that looks and tastes great. And also gives delegates the energy to get the most out of the event rather than leaving them struggling with a post-lunch slump. Lean Lunch is the company to do exactly that.”
Making healthy easy AND delicious
Lean Lunch not only caters for lunch, breakfast and evening events of up to around 500 people, it caters for small meetings too.
Companies can also register with Lean Lunch so their employees can order and pay for their own meals. It’s a great way for businesses to support their people in improving their wellness. If they choose to, they can go one step further and book Lean Lunch to provide nutrition seminars, workshops and one-to-ones.
Lean Lunch co-founder Sat Mann says: “We’re here to make eating healthy during the working day easy and, most importantly, really enjoyable. We absolutely love food and are proving that the right nutritious meals can be both mouth-wateringly tasty and satisfying – without contributing to mid-afternoon lethargy. Whether you’re having lunch alone, ordering food for a meeting or catering for an event we’ve got lots of delicious options.”
