FinTech North confirms virtual Manchester Conference on 12th November

Joe Roche / 14th October 2020

Following the success of two previous conferences in Manchester, FinTech North is returning for its third annual Manchester conference on 12th November.

In light of the current situation, the event will be hosted virtually in a webinar format, taking place as a half-day event starting at 12:30 on 12th November.

Last year’s conference attracted over 350 registrations but the event was neither streamed nor recorded, so attendees had to physically be in Manchester. This year’s event will be able to reach a wider audience and will also be recorded for people who register but cannot attend on the event date.

The virtual conference will bring together high-profile speakers from UK FinTech and beyond, as well as established tech companies and innovative start-ups from the region. Those already confirmed include keynotes from Chris Sier, HM Treasury FinTech Envoy and Chair of FinTech North, Charlotte Crosswell, Chief Executive of Innovate Finance, and Ian Johnson, Head of Europe of Marqeta. It will also feature a Manchester FinTech Showcase of including lightning pitches from some of the region’s FinTech firms, and two panel sessions focusing on UK FinTech and FinTech in Manchester respectively.

Tickets for the conference can be accessed free of charge via the FinTech North website, where voluntary donations are also an option for those who wish to support FinTech North’s ongoing efforts to support the northern FinTech community: https://old.fintechnorth.uk/event/fintech-north-manchester-conference/

This event is hosted in partnership with global card issuing platform Marqeta, Manchester’s Inward Investment agency MIDAS and the University of Manchester Alliance Busines School, with further sponsorship opportunities available for other organisations who wish to get involved.
