COMPUTERSHARE TO HOST MORTGAGE TECH STREAM AT FINTECH NORTH LEEDS

FinTech North / 22nd May 2019

The Mortgage session at FinTech North Leeds 2019 is hosted by Computershare and will feature speakers from tech and financial services organisations, FinTech startups, building societies and a debt charity.

The fourth annual FinTech North Leeds will feature three distinctive “streams” for the first time, allowing delegates to choose the most relevant sessions to them.

FinTech North has partnered with Computershare to offer a dedicated Mortgage session at the event, which takes place on 23rd May at Cloth Hall Court, Leeds.

The Mortgage stream will be hosted by Computershare, a global financial services company that provides mortgage servicing. It will bring together tech organisations, financial services and building societies, FinTech Start-ups and charity organisations.

Highlights will include an overview of MortgageTech from EY, plus a look at FinTech from the perspective of Yorkshire Building Society. Richard Hayes, the CEO of Mojo Mortgages, will share his experience of building a Mortgage FinTech.

The Head of Policy at debt charity StepChange, Peter Tutton, will address FinTech and debt advice, and Sandstone Technology and Flybits will also appear on stage talking about their innovative tech solutions.

A panel discussion will conclude the session with representatives from all the organisations, plus Julian Wells, Director of Whitecap Consulting and FinTech North.

Andrew Freeley, Chief Commercial Officer at Computershare, which is a sponsor of Leeds Fintech North, said: “As one of the UK’s largest third-party mortgage administrators, Computershare understands the diverse and changing nature of our industry, including the needs of our clients’ customers. We are proud of our roots in Yorkshire and leading presence in the region’s mortgage industry.

“Fintech will play a significant role in the region’s economy in years to come, and we want to highlight the innovative work of both established brands and challengers who are encouraging best practice and collaboration to propel forward this growing sector.”
