Dan Rajkumar / 20th February 2018
On Friday March 23rd, FinTech North and the University of Leeds are hosting a Leeds FinTech Day as part of UK FinTech Week.
The event will be supported by Leeds City Council, the Leeds City Regional Local Enterprise Partnership, the Department for International Trade and proudly sponsored by Squire Patton Boggs.
Leeds FinTech Day will be held at Leeds University, beginning at 8:30am and scheduled to conclude at 2:00pm. A networking breakfast will open the event, to be followed by speeches and panel discussions from experts in the FinTech field. The event will be held in the university’s Liberty Building, which is located on the Western Campus, on the corner of Moorland Road and Belle Vue Road.
The day’s agenda will feature world-class speakers discussing various topics relevant to the ever-evolving FinTech field. These include Artificial Intelligence, blockchain and big data, among others, which will be confirmed over the coming weeks.
The UK’s fifth annual FinTech Week will be held from 6th – 13th July, celebrating and uniting the FinTech world in the financial capital of London. The week-long event will see delegates hail from all over the world; organisers are expecting between 600 – 1,000 delegates from more than 50 countries, and 3,000 – 5,000 participants. As they explain, the aim of the event is to “enhance the dialog between established multi-nationals, innovation firms, disruptive start-ups, governments, media and investors.”
