Jake Fox / 3rd September 2018
FinTech North is delighted to be involved in a US trade mission visiting key cities across the Northern Powerhouse in September, and will be hosting a FinTech roundtable event in Leeds on 18th September.
Stefan Pryor, secretary of commerce for the State of Rhode Island, is heading up the trade mission comprising seven US businesses and a team of commerce and tourism officials which will visit the cities of Leeds, Hull and Manchester, as well as Edinburgh. The visiting party is made up of FinTech commercial teams from the state who connect FinTech and financial institutions, and can also provide incentive packages for UK companies who are interested in working in New England..
The FinTech roundtable in Leeds runs from 3 – 4.30pm and will be chaired by Julian Wells, Director of FinTech North and Whitecap Consulting, who was part of a recent Leeds delegation led by Tom Riordan, Chief Executive of Leeds City Council, which visited Boston to explore FinTech and HealthTech opportunities for collaboration between the cities.
There are only a small number of places available for the roundtable, which is primarily targeted at established Leeds-based businesses with a direct involvement in FinTech and an interest in working with US firms, or establishing a US presence.
This roundtable will be kindly hosted by Squire Patton Boggs.
